The Royal Wedding was definitely an exquisite wedding that everyone talked about for months. We have to admit, as wedding professionals, we were also anticipating it, just to see what the outcome would be! Unfortunately, most of us were not invited. :) However, the Royal Wedding still seems to be a topic of interest and many people are curious about the music played at their wedding. We certainly were!
Believe it or not, there is an official Royal Wedding album, available to stream on Spotify. Yes, you can listen to the State Trumpeters play the Royal Salute (The Arrival of Her Majesty the Queen), and you can even hear The Right Reverend David Conner KCVO, Dean of Windsor, perform the wedding ceremony. So if you want to check it out, definitely be sure to add that to your Spotify playlist.
If you're planning your wedding, you can add some of the great songs played at their wedding, for your own wedding playlist. You can add the Kingdom Choir's version of "Stand By Me," or you can add the classic version, by Ben E. King. You can also add songs from the amazing 19 year old British cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason. We included the link to his Spotify, which received a 482% increase in streams, globally, after the Royal Wedding!
Meghan and Harry's first dance song was a song we play at many of our events. It was none of other than the Whitney Houston classic "I Wanna Dance With Somebody!" Every time we play this song, people run out to the dance floor. It's certainly a great song and we were surprised to see that it was the first dance song, at the Royal Wedding! Now that the Royal Wedding is over, we can go back to our normal lives. :) You should definitely check out the songs, above, and consider adding them to your own wedding. We'll be happy to play them!
