Sunday, we had a great time providing a DJ for a fun Sweet 16, at the Hummingbird House in Austin, TX. Even though it rained most of the day, Sunday, fortunately, it stopped just in time for the ceremony to start! Though this was a Sweet 16, the family decided to incorporate some of the ceremonies and traditions from a Quinceanera. Our guest of honor, Trinity, received a crown, jewelry, a bible, and also did the changing of the shoes ceremony, as seen in the picture above.
Trinity and her dad danced to "Butterfly Kisses," which is always a favorite father/daughter dance song for many Quinceaneras, Sweet 15s & 16s, and even weddings!
For the cocktail hour and dinner, guests enjoyed amazing food and drinks, provided by Gourmet Gals Catering and Events! They had a taco bar with amazing chicken and beef tacos, queso, chips, and all the other fixings. They also served Sangria and a few lemonade drinks, in addition to their favorite beers.
Once the dance started, Jason and Diana kept the guests dancing to every song, all night! They played Country, Hip Hop, Top 40, Tejano, Cumbia, and Pop hits, keeping their guests having fun, all night. At one point, one of the guests came up and said "y'all are doing an amazing job! You even have my grandparents dancing. They haven't danced in YEARS!! We're taking lots of pictures of them dancing!" That was certainly great to see and hear, and it put a smile on our face! :) We made sure to play music for everyone!
Thanks, again, to the Reyes family, for allowing us to share your special day with you and your family!
