Without the right planning and preparation it also has the potential to be one of the most stressful times of your life. The key is to do everything you can in advance to be prepared for your big day, but also keep in mind that nothing is perfect. Here are some tips you should consider doing in advance of your wedding day so it can be low stress and you can fully enjoy yourself. Seek Professional HelpOne of the easiest ways to take wedding stress off of you is to let someone else do the research and work while you make the decisions. If you’ve already started planning but find it to be too overwhelming as your big day approaches, there are also services that will take over the coordination of your day. With both wedding day-of coordination and full service wedding planning you can choose what works best for you so you can enjoy yourself while someone else runs the show. Sewing KitAccidents happen all of the time. On a day as important as your wedding the best thing you can do is be prepared for any small thing, especially while wearing the gown you’ll remember for the rest of your life. If a bridesmaid accidentally steps on your train or the flower girl tugs a little too hard on your skirt, having an emergency sewing kit on hand will fix the situation and help you to not panic. For extra preparedness while in your white gown, stash a detergent or bleach pen with your sewing kit for any accidental spills. Look Good, Feel GoodWhen preparing the beauty aspects of your wedding, regardless of whether you’re the bride or groom, it’s best to do everything in advance instead of right before. If getting a spray tan, go a week before your wedding so if it’s too dark or orange it’ll have some time to fade. Then there’s hair. If you want it cut do so with enough time for it to grow in just in case it doesn’t meet expectations. Brides, consider taking Hair, Skin & Nails gummies, to strengthen hair, skin and nails. Yes, they really work! :) Grooms, consider checking out "hims hair products" to promote hair growth and stop any hair loss. Time ManagementYou want to make sure your wedding is enjoyable for everyone, but you also need to make sure you don’t forget anything and keep on track. Schedule out the day with some wiggle room just in case. At your rehearsal, do a walk through of the day so you know what to expect and if the timing is reasonable. That way you're not stressing about if you’ll have enough time or if you’re forgetting to do something. Comfort Above All ElseThere’s no denying that your wedding day, while being one of the happiest days of your life, is one of the longest and most tiring. You’ll be on your feet for a majority of the day, so by the end of it they will likely be extremely sore. The last thing a bride will want is to be in her heels for that long, but you also may not be keen on going barefoot either. Consider purchasing some flip flops for your reception. Depending on the time of year you get married, you can even wear these as you depart on your honeymoon. These are just a few tips to make one of the happiest days of your life less stressful. Everyone should be able to look back on their day with fondness and remember the love, not the headache. Guest Contributor: Cassie K. Planning a wedding is extremely hard work. There’s a huge to-do list as it is, and the last thing anyone would want to do is skip over and important element, like a unique theme. However, having a theme for any event brings it to life and makes a huge difference. It makes the day more fun and interesting, playful, immersive, and engages guests in conversation and delight. So, if you’re a bride or groom-to-be and don’t want a traditional white wedding, here are some completely unique and fun wedding themes to consider when planning your big day. Let’s dive in! Derby Wedding ThemeThe first theme on our list is a Kentucky Derby themed wedding. Elegant hats are a staple at the derby, and a fun element that can be added to your wedding party. Have your bridesmaids wear the floppy-est and most feathered elegant hats they own, and have the groomsmen strut a fancy fedora and suspenders. For the centerpiece, pick out graceful horse sculptures for each table, or to simplify it, a bouquet of roses with a gold medal to label the table number. For this theme, the fancier the better! Superhero Wedding ThemeIf you and your partner in life are also partners in crime, you might want to choose a superhero/villain theme for you big day. Feel free to dress your wedding party in capes, or even full-out superhero costumes, depending on how big of a Marvel Comics fan you are. There are definitely enough superheroes to go around! You can include colorful invitations and a superhero-themed cake of course, along with comic book style decorations throughout. Plus, if you get a photo booth, there’s a huge opportunity to include awesome photo props! Game of Thrones Wedding ThemeFor a more medieval feel, Game of Thrones just might be your cup of tea. This theme might sound slightly barbaric at first, but it can actually be quite romantic. Send out your invitations with a Lannister red wax seal, display the seating arrangements by noble houses, and say your vows in a candle-lit room. Some decorations can include beautiful flower arrangements in Victorian vases, rustic wooden centerpieces and a feast fit for a king. This is as royal as it gets - at least in the 21st century. Don’t forget a throne for the bride and groom! Halloween Wedding ThemeDoes the sound of a traditional, white wedding make you cringe? Change it up and surprise your friends and family with a spookier theme: Halloween. Quite possibly the most decorated holiday, besides Christmas, it can be utilized to make your wedding hauntingly divine. You can find cute halloween dresses for the bride tribe and dress the grooms as skeletons, vampires, or ghouls. There’s nothing more dramatic than a black wedding gown. Decorate your venue by hanging bats from the ceiling, using tombstones for the centerpieces, and cover the entire place with synthetic spider webs. You can even customize your napkins to say “until death do us part” and have red, drippy frosting on your cake that resembles blood. Feel free to get really creative with this one! Circus Wedding ThemeIf you want to get creative beyond the decorations, however, you might consider planning around a really unique venue instead. If that’s the case, a circus theme would certainly wow your guests. Place the dancefloor in the center of a large, white tent, as any circus main attraction, and treat your guests with gourmet popcorn and cotton candy. If you want to kick things up a notch, you can hire live circus entertainment like trapeze artists and fire-breathers. Color & Texture wedding themeFor a fancy yet creative wedding, incorporate a color and texture theme. It might sound a little plain jane at first, but with a little imagination, it can be unique and classy. Start by having different textured decor like faux fur vases with different flower arrangements, clay plates with wooden utensils, and silk chair covers with a pearl accent. Bump up the creativity with a subtle color scheme, and you’ll be in for a pleasant outcome. Las Vegas Wedding ThemeDestination weddings can get expensive quickly, and not everyone is willing to make the trip. So, why not bring the trip to you? For those who want to escape to Las Vegas for their wedding but are on a tight budget, you can create a show-stopping event right in your hometown! You can set up blackjack tables with a fully stocked bar, and have a cabaret singer serenade the crowd for the night. Throw in an elvis impersonator and your guests will easily forget they aren’t dining in Sin City. Ferry Wedding ThemeThe last, but certainly not least, theme on our list is a Ferry wedding. That’s right, you can say your “I Do’s” while floating along on a romantic ferry boat. This makes for a fun night of celebrating once the ceremony is over. Imagine feeling the summer breeze and being able to gaze up at the stars at any given moment in the night. This theme also makes decor easy and fun. The boat itself supplies natural decor but you can spice it up by creating ocean-themed centerpieces. Our list of unique wedding ideas doesn’t have to be the limit to your theme. There are many more paths you can take when planning to have a one-of-a-kind wedding. Don’t forget, the most important thing at the end of the day is becoming one with your spouse and being surrounded by those you love most. Congratulations and good luck! Wedding at Texas Old Town - Kyle, TXFriday evening, we provided a DJ and photo booth rentals, for a fun wedding at Texas Old Town, in Kyle, Texas. Our couple, Courtney and Zach, had a rustic, country themed wedding! Courtney's dad performed the ceremony and did a great job. Courtney and Zach absolutely love Country music and chose numerous country songs and artists, for us to play, all evening. Jason personally DJed this event and played about 99% Country hits, for about 6 hours! The guests danced throughout the evening, up until the last song! Diana kept the guests entertained at the photo booth, taking selfies, all evening, too! We loved all of their decor, which the bride personally chose. The Burgundy was something different and it looked great! The boots were a nice touch, along with numerous hand painted signs, all around the venue! The cake looked absolutely amazing, too! We added two amber uplights, behind the cake, to make it pop! The cake looked almost too good to cut and eat! :) Congrats, again, to Courtney and Zach! 50th Anniversary PartySaturday, we had the pleasure of providing a DJ and photo booth rental, for a fun 50th anniversary party.
